About Counselling UnLimited

Geraldine
Geraldine Strickland founded Counselling Unlimited to enable and encourage people from all walks of life to access and benefit from counselling including those who might not have considered counselling before.
Geraldine has a career spanning over thirty-plus years of experience in managing and developing projects, working with individuals and local communities, particularly in the field of regeneration, health, and social welfare.
During this time Geraldine has worked extensively alongside individuals and groups who suffer psychological distress and mental illness.
Geraldine has a background in public sector work and is experienced at a strategic level. She was a non executive Director with NHS Borders for ten years. During that time, she was the Convener for Spiritual Care, and also served as the Chairman of the Research Ethics Committee. She has a special interest in mental health, public health and community health.
Geraldine is skilled at working with organisations and companies following difficult times. Her experience has helped in situations where organisations have experienced unexpected bereavement and want to come to terms with the change, the reasons why, and the strategies people can adopt to cope and carry on.
Where people are looking for help with mediation, or find themselves in a position of conflict, Geraldine is able to offer support and help for you to explore how you can move forward.
